Georgia Too Two

Here are some snapshots of Georgia's birthday party. Last year we had her party on my birthday (Feb 1), because it was too much for me. This year we did it early.
I saw this cake and had to have a Sesame Street party for her.
Jaxson, Liam, Hazel, and Sarah, Ryan, Elise, and Jr., Uncle Bone, Gabi, Katelyn, Aidan, and Adrienne came to the party at Chuck E Cheese's.
*(I forgot my camera, so I had to take these with my phone!)

And mostly, my Heavenly Father for allowing me just enough patience to get it to the point where it's totally livable and I don't have to nag my husband to do anything else to it anymore!

Oh Tanenbaum

Just a side note, as I write that German phrase. Di told me that our high school German teacher has been accused of snow mobiling naked with a group of teenage boys. Random and gross!

But, on a happier note...Our retro tree is up!
Even better, the kids helped and had a wonderful time. I usually try to make it look like they're helping and when they get tired of it I "fix" it. Great mother, huh?! But, we did a little retro theme with some ornaments handed down from Grandma Dot and a little from e-bay. I bought a real tree and 52 zillion cans of flocking (and made just about 52 zillion trips to the store to get it), and it still didn't get flocked all the way. But, not we have a grayish, really cool decorated retro tree.

HoOrAY for Us!

A Go Pawdee!

So Georgia thinks she wants to go potty. She does it when I'm up to my eyeballs in finishing the basement and the holidays are coming as well as the cold weather, so there's so , so, so much to do. I eat the words I told Sarah when it happened to her and she had an 18 month old and a 2 month old and I told her she was crazy for not just going for it. It's got to be the right time for everyone.

Well, Miss George, your time has come, because the basement is finished and I'm all yours, so all yours now have to go in the potty and not the diapers!

We got our first big snow and now it's FReeZiNg! Poor Aggie. Here's a picture of the kids playing with her in the backyard. She kept snagging Olivia's gloves and chewing on them. They love to be outdoors in the cold. They're NUts! Posted by Picasa

Chores

Grandpa taught Isaac to make his bed at their house. Now he enjoys making all the beds. He uses every pillow in the house. I'm sure grandpa told him they were "accents". My dad loves "accents". So here are some shots of the master's work. And a shot of the rock star himself. He's going to be a lady killer! He's gorgeous and he cleans!

And the Race is ON!

Good Gracious we are stupid, crazy, or both. Di, Di, Jenny, and I woke up at 2:30 AM! the day after Thanksgiving to go shopping. We went to Best Buy and ended up in line behind the store for an hour and a half and got nothing from that &*(*&%&^%%$%@#$ store. But, we did get a lot of deals at Walmart, Shopko, Michaels, and Staples. It was so fun! Di even ate at Betos for the first time and had to admit that iguana meat tasted a lot like bacon. A Sign of the Times

These are some pictures from the last wedding I did. Not so pretty flowers, but that's not my fault, the bride chose really bad colors. My point is, I am the least professional florist around.
I tried to put a ring tone on my cel phone and instead chose a call tone. In other words, the caller heard the song, not me. It was "Bringin' Sexy Back". Well, I couldn't figure out how to get it off my phone, so when the mother of the bride called me to find out how to pay me that's what she heard.

Not necessarily that bad, but it gets worse. I go to deliver the flowers and I was in a hurry because we were meeting my bro in Salt Lake for dinner. So we rush out of the house and on the way there Olivia tells me she doesn't have any shoes on. We get to the mother of the bride's house and Olivia says, "Mama, I got to pee."
I look back to respond and notice she not only isn't wearing shoes, she's also not wearing socks. I tell her to wait and run the flowers into the mother's house, who apparently forgot she still owed me money. So she starts frantically looking for her purse and in walks Olivia looking like white (well, brown), trash, and says, "I have to pee."

Thank the Lord above that their is a kind Grandmother in the mix and she goes so far as to help Liv pull up her britches. I have a feeling I won't be getting any referrals from this family.

These are some "flowers" I did for Virgil Black, my best friend Diane's Grandpa. He died about a week and a half ago. We did the flowers for his funeral. Di suggested we use bailing twine instead of ribbon as he had everything he owned held together with it. I told her at my dad's funeral we'd have to have pennies between the flowers and duct tape holding them together! He was such a sweet man. I remember taking something to their house with Di and we didn't want to get the kids out of the car because we were afraid they'd be little hellions, but he insisted. He got us all a yogurt and made sure we ate them before we got back into the car. Isaac was only about 2. Well, I was gettting the kids buckled in and Isaac was crying. I finally said, "What is wrong, just get in your seat!"
"I need to kiss Grandpa!" He said. Isaac could feel his goodness and loved him the very minute he met him. We'll miss him, sweet little man!
