I'm nearly to the point in rennovating where I don't care what else happens in this house as long as I don't have to lift a finger for it. I'm pretty sure that's how some of the folks on "Hoarders" began. I'm two steps away.
So today I hung some art and started to finish (oxymoron), my sewing projects in an attempt to get re-motivated (another oxymoron).
This evening my husband found me lying on the girls' bed (in one of the 2 rooms in our house that is painted), musing over the newly hung art and carefully placed accessories (which have been re-placed 13 times since this morning, and I'm sure not carefully), and I asked him his thoughts about our family photos, which I was hoping to take exactly right here, at our new home.
He broke it to me that he doesn't appreciate my "hobo" style as he swept his arm around the room. Apparently I'm turning our new home into just what the last one was (yay!). He wants something that "looks like money". We clarified that even though buying from Anthropologie means a lot of money, it's still "hobo". He doesn't want to send our photo out thus.
In the end we have no location, and he chose a suit and I've got the go ahead to wear something shabby so that we can both represent our own personal styles. Photos to follow, I guess.
Anywho, while I scanned the room I decided it needs a fabulous and bold rug. Unfortunately I know this will cost some serious dinero, no matter what you call my style.
These are what I'm dreaming of...

The New Digs
Notice my new header. It's been about a week in the making. I was inspired by a book we found at the library with the craziest pics (If I remember I'll do the right thing and reference it here later).
ANYwho, I wonder if you take a second, could you find all the references to who we are.
Do that now.
Did you see the snail crawling across G's hat? She's a snail fiend. It's disgusting. I want to go back to rolly polly fanaticism.
Liv's gift is a box of chocolates. Her grandpa gave them to her for her birthday. THE BEST gift she received.
See that tall drink of water in I's hand? That would represent MY MAN, and Isaac's love for all things "that make you strong".
I also couldn't figure out which sport to have Isaac play in this little vignette, so we've got a little baseball and a little soccer. *I should have had a football hitting Mae in the head as he's not very careful when he plays*
The flower (my favorite garden variety, blackeyed susan), on my ear {up in the tree, of course}, is one that George gave me. She does it nearly every day. THE BEST gifts I ever get.
Mo-ta-toes is holding her favorite animal and their favorite food (besides hotdogs) (the girl, not the monkey. I don't think turkey hotdogs are available in the amazon).
{(I love italics) (that is why) (the blog title is) (in italics)}

What Did I Ever Do?
The kind who has spent the last 6 weeks cleaning out and reorganizing his master bedroom closet. This is what the process looks like...
Shoes.
Shoes.
These boxes of shoes are currently stationed behind the door of our bedroom until the shelving is completed in the closet.
There are approximately 30 more boxes of collectible shoes in storage elsewhere.
My husband the clothes/shoes hound.

Entrepeneur
My husband is sooo cool. Check out his site. I am completely impressed that I had the brains to marry this man and that he had the guts to venture out on his own.
