Isaac's Room

Isaac turned nine on February 13th so I finished his room for his bday.

Before...

After...

He finally has baseboards and I re-did the trim around his doors.  I wanted to paint a little more creatively but time did not allow.  He's got chalkboard paint on his closet and that @#$% dull Pottery Barn comforter.

I have yet to hang his new light and put the knobs on his dresser.  Hopefully I can add that color soon.

We got to see the Harlem Globetrotters thanks to Grandma.

We haven't taken Isaac's 9 year bday pics yet. I will post them when we get to it.

Noah's Big Day

Could you just squeeeeeze those cheeks?!!!

 GASP!

This means smurf poop for 3 days.

Could we keep this between us?

So that's it?

Enchanted Evenings

Isaac's Birthday Feast Sunday....

Liv told me and told me that I threw out the "8" candle and I didn't believe her.

Tonite (after the vinyl fence guy decided to wrap up his quote), we had Uncle Isaac, Brock, Uncle Jerrett, Heather, and us another feast to celebrate LUuuUb.

I set a beautiful table, complete with candlelight and cherubs.  And we stuffed ourselves on steak, mashed potatoes, greens with strawberries, candied walnuts and poppyseed dressing, asparagus, garlic bread and crepes.

The kids all got a gift at their seats and we had yummy strawberry limeaid.  Mostly because of the unique pink color and reflective glass bottles.

Jason tried to start some conversation about everyone's worst Valentine's Day.  Turns out he's the only one who had one. Too bad the vinyl fence guy can't come back next year.  I have a feeling he'd have a story to tell.

8,7,6

Until Saturday I have an 8, 7, and 6 year old.
Not to mention a 2 year old and the bebe.

But come Sunday we will be 8, 8, 6, 2, 3 mos.

Here he is in all his handsome glory...

Eat your heart out elementary-aged girls.  He's more interested in soccer, football, basketball, and attacking his sisters with the nerf gun.

Jason thinks he's weird because he chooses to read.  Especially when he taught himself the alphabet in sign language from a book.

He's not afraid to shake what his mama gave him and battles the entire family on Just Dance 2 every chance he gets.

He's my best date because he'll eat anything I do.

Not looking forward to sharing the front seat with him.  He insessantly asks questions.  Lately it's been, "Is ___________ (insert any friend or family member in the second grade), going to start college the same day as me?"

He's the total package people.  The total package.

8 is GREAT!

Miss Olivia is 8 today, HiP hIP HoOrAY!

For her Birthday she asked for a
day at the spa
with her best friend in the whole, whole,
WORLD, Penina.

You should have seen those little sweeties lying with white-towell turbans on their heads while the aesthetician cleansed and massaged.  Then it was toes and fingernails across the board.  Complete with polka-dots.

She also asked for ice cream cake, which is yet to come with Daddy tomorrow.  He's a spoiler.

Today she also asked for hamburgers, bowling and a birthday photo shoot.

I obliged. Even added some rootbeer floats.

She even lost her sparkly tooth at the alley.  Natural causes, not a wild throw by Georgia.

I love you, love you, love you my sweet Liv!!!

The other kids got in on some photo action too

Lest You Think...

Lest you think...

1. I fell off a cliff while out running.

2.  Cirque De Soleil abducted my children (it's the closest thing to gypsies in SLC).

Well...

A. I ran 6.3 miles down (ish) Hobble Creek Canyon Monday last.
B. I felt wonderful upon completion
3. I jacked up my left foot in the process.  Plantar Fasciitis.  It's icky.  Read more here.
F. I did all of the suggested stretching and dixie cup icing.
IV. I started back today with my shoes "zeroed" re-laced (very un-lacey like) and got 2.5 in (running only about 1.75), but it's a start.

Q. Mae turns 2 on Saturday : (  Unfortunately what she and I have to say about it doesn't count.  When I ask if she's having a birthday she says NO.  That's just fine with me.  She's perfect just the way she is without growing into some rotten kid.

She said, "Bye Bumpa," when we left this guy on the bench.  She loves herself some "bumpa"

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GEORGE!

As of today, we have a 7 year old, a 6 year old, a 5 YEAR OLD, and a 1 year old.

Georgia says:

"You're a stinky butt."

She won't tell me anything else to write in this post. The important thing for you to note is that she whispered it to me as a secret, as she has two volumes, "secret" whisper, and SCREAM!!!

She will maul any animal within sight no matter how bad her skin breaks out or how far her eyes swell shut.

We are having breakfast for dinner tonight per her request.

Oh My Heaven! Nearly Seven!

Despite the fact that she already acts like she's 17 (she just went to bed crying after we spent the last 2.5 hours arguing about not arguing. Yes, I'm 32 years old), she's just about 7. Monday in fact, is the big day. Her dirtday (no type-o, that is how she's always said it).
She asked for a new mom this week. She just told me that she wanted me to act like I wanted to be her daughter (you know what she means). The fact that she's adopted may make me slightly more sensitive, but at least Sarah's son (biologically), packed his bags and headed last year too.

She's a great "little mama", she is very loving (generally speaking), and she's a magnificent artist. She has a flair for drama and an eye for decorating. She is everybody's friend.

She's the best 6.95 year old fancy dancer I've ever known. She is a self-taught biker and a movie buff.
Well little mama,
Happy Dirtday!
I love you and want to be your daughter, and will in fact, be for eternity :)

What Did I Ever Do?

I got an early Birthday gift from my sweetheart last evening. OOOOOOHHHH BABY! I'm going to look so good in this coat!

What kind of husband gets such a smokin' hot coat for his wife's 25th birthday, you ask?

The kind who has spent the last 6 weeks cleaning out and reorganizing his master bedroom closet. This is what the process looks like...

Shoes.

Shoes.

These boxes of shoes are currently stationed behind the door of our bedroom until the shelving is completed in the closet.

There are approximately 30 more boxes of collectible shoes in storage elsewhere.

My husband the clothes/shoes hound.
