Another Year Older, Another Year ___________?

Mr. Sir had another birthday this year precisely on October 8. He had just returned from a trip (I don't remember which one, but it involved lots and lots of driving). He was exhausted. So, we opened these thoughtful gifts from the kids and I and ate at Tucanos.

Georgia's gift. Can you see the irony? Daddy donated it to the girls' room so George would have a reminder of the commandment, "Thou shalt not pee in thy pants or on your floor."

Isaac's gift. Dad also re-gifted this one. Well actually he said they'd share this one. For now it can be posted on I's wall. It's even been autographed. Can you see it?

Liv's gift. The flashlight. Group gift, back scratcher. (Sidebar: If George/tourettes is in our bed when she has one of her fits, now jason will say, "George, scratch my back." She does. After about 5 0r 6 times, she seems to have less fits.) My gift. Alarm clock. Jason got really ticked off when I took his pink one, so I am replacing it with an "accurate to the split second" one that has batteries since we have yet to put in the outlets next to our bed.

Oh yes, we did have a few other friends for the party.

Los Francom's

I took some pictures today for some friends of ours. I rushed right home to edit them. I'm always soooo nervous none of them will turn out. Luckily, some did, and as Wendy and I discussed, the candid ones are always the best. In fact, of the posed shots we took only 2 or 3 turned out well. We're coming to a tough time of year when dusk is just too cold to shoot families, so we're out in the sun, triple the nerves. Anyway, here are a few I like.

Got a cool new project...can you tell what it is???

super spectacular isn't it? I stole this one from the sister-in-law of my friend Diane. She made them for her nieces and nephews. I think I will too! Merry Christmas to all my friends. If you get a gift from me it will probably be this. If you don't, I didn't finish/gave up.

Spoiled Rotten

How about this saucy little number Jason bought me at Allen's Camera, our favorite camera/print shop. Does this make me look like I know what I'm doing or what?!

Dorkas

I actually went to school with a girl named Dorchas Cudney. Would you kill your parents in their sleep, or torture them slowly? Anyway, I have an association with a very cool woman in my ward (congregation, thanks Karen), and I think she thinks I'm a dorkas. Truly, she probably doesn't because she's so nice, but have you ever done something stupid in front of one particular person every time you see them? I have. She probably walks away scratching her head at all of our interactions.

To be honest, I can't remember the earliest dumb things I did (except for my bad habit of always saying too much), but it is on my mind every time I see her. One particular incident involved stopping in the middle of the road to jump out and deliver an invitation. I was thinking, "ok Brandy, don't do or say anything stupid." I gracefully leapt from the car and began my trot over to her until out of the corner of my eye I saw my car reversing down the road with my giggling children inside. Nice.
So, I've kept my distance so that next time I don't hurt somebody. Now I am safely stalking her blog, hoping I don't provide her with a virus or something. I found it yesterday and it is wonderful. She's a photographer also, and very talented. Truth is, I am a Dorkas. Just so happens that you bring it out in me. You know who you are and I thank you for not outing me publically. I should be able to live here for about another year before the entire neighborhood holds their breath every time I come around.

Someone, I can't remember her name I'm so excited just e-mailed me to make me aware that my e-mail account was just chosen for the Swiss lottery!!!!!! So, not only am I going to Alaska in a month to see my super-cool bro and sis-in-law, but I'm calling Delta to inform them that I will now pay the regular price. It's the least I can do to help with rising oil costs. If there's anything you need, let me know. I'll be glad to help.

I'm It

7 random Brandy Jo Facts:

1. I have only about 8 real teeth in my mouth ok, maybe 10. The rest are bridges since I had no adult teeth behind the babes. My mom about passed out when she saw me throw my head back and laugh, noticing for the first time that all those thousands of dollars went to bridges with silver backs in the top of my mouth.

2. I constantly pop my toes at night when I get my pj's on. It drives my mom and Jason up the wall.

3. When I see someone hurt I feel pain in the area of my body in which they are hurt.

4. I could eat green beans every meal for the rest of my life.

5. I still laugh hysterically whenever someone passes gas. I'm laughing right now just thinking about it.

6. I would LOVE to be an astronaut.

7. I've been ticketed for skinny dipping in Hyrum Dam.

Now You're It!!!
1. Miss Sarah
2. Miss Brianna
3. Miss Valerie
4. Miss Natalie
5. Miss Trish
6. Miss Brianne
7. Miss Kari HA! I've found you!

I'm Coming Out

Recently you'll find me hanging out wasting a lot of time waiting for some child or another to come available at Walden School. Let's see, sometimes I'm walking random stores. Sometimes at a park or Provo Library story time. I'll even go to a playland every now and again. But there's something different about the Brandy you're used to seeing around town.
This is very hard for me.
I can do this, I'll just...ok,
*sigh* Deep breath.
I'm reading Twilight.
I know, I know, I know. I hide it under tables or in front of the baby. I keep it on a flat surface, never revealing the cover. I laugh out loud and the rediculous story and writing. But, you're right, I have a need to keep reading to see what happens. It's really one of the silliest things I've done in a while. Especially since I have so many other worthy books waiting to be finished sitting lonely on tables throughout the house. Truth be told, I tried to start A Tale of Two Cities and I couldn't do it. My brain doesn't function on a high enough level at the moment. I came to terms with that and now I'm reading books on a third grade level with teenage romance involving vampires as the plot. I'm rolling with it. When Mae or her younger sibling(s) are at least 11 maybe I can crack open Dickens again and give 'er the ol' college try.
*You will not be seeing this to your right on my reading list. That's taking this too far*

Yesserday

Thank the heavens above I didn't get this girl in preschool. This is what I'd have missed...

82,000 times a day "Mom, you're da bess."

122,300 times a day "Mom, I love you. You're da bess."

64, 526 times a day "Mom, yesserday, when i was a tiny geeerl (holding her finger and thumb a centimeter apart), I..."

11, 481 times a day "Mom! Mae smile at me! Did you see? Her smile at me."

16 times a day "Mom, I'm so angry at you!"

1 or 2 times a day "I like your ...."

She and I are having the greatest time together. She is soooo fun and sweet and spunky. Who needs preschool? She's taught me everything I need to know.

"Tek id eessay!"...

...as Nacho would say.

I'm a little jumpy.
I jump into action before there's time to finish the
thought. Sometimes it works.
Mostly it makes me jumpy.

Jason says to me all the time, "Easy now, take some time."

So, don't be hasty.

Just a thought.

Such a Cry BaBy!

I threw a small fit (you may remember, about the toille), and my dearest mom made this masterpiece. The bumper is polka dots and the comforter is darling black and white daisies on one side, white on white daisies on the other. It's soooo cute in her room. I hung the banner from her 1st laugh party and voila' sweetest baby room!

Forgot to tell you all about this find. 70% off at JC Penney, I got the comforter and the pillow for less than $40.

I heart Halloween!

I've said it once and I'll say it again,

Halloween Rules!

Sometimes Liv's too onery in the morning to ride in the car with us.

Um, dollar store people! Get into the spirit!

I think these are Jason's relations.

I told the kids and their friends that the eyeballs belonged to the other kids I adopted. They were bad.

Modge Podge.

My cook book.
